Homely Atmosphere - Pleasant & Welcoming
Forget Me Not Residential Home prides itself on its homely atmosphere and vibrancy. From the moment you step through its doors you are greeted with pleasant and welcoming people and an environment that offers peace and comfort. It is perfectly located in the midst of a tranquil part of Burnham and with a charismatic Tudor style house that comprises warm and cosy décor, residents will always feel at ease. Staff wear their own clothes and not a uniform to help it feel more homely and less like a hospital or clinical environment.
16 Single Rooms
Its facilities and quality of rooms demonstrates Forget Me Not Residential Home’s vested interest in providing the best for its residents. Six of the home’s sixteen single-occupancy bedrooms feature an ensuite bathroom, whilst the remaining ten bedrooms have access to large and clean bathrooms, situated on the same floor. As the bedrooms are spread across two floors, residents are given the opportunity to have different sized bedrooms and are also encouraged to bring small furnishings, items of furniture, and/or personal ornaments to decorate their rooms to their own tastes. To give each resident mobility and independence around the home, there is also an operating passenger lift.
Nutritious Home Cooked Food Daily
Further considering the needs of its residents and demonstrating its exemplary level of care, Forget Me Not Residential Home offers a selection of home-cooked, nutritious and hearty breakfasts, lunches and dinners that are enjoyed together in the dining room, like a family. Cooked by its in-house Chef, residents are able to tuck into mouth-watering pies, cakes, puddings and scones, with refreshments also available throughout the day and evening.
Stimulation & Activity is Paramount
Most significant to Forget Me Not Residential Home is the happiness of its residents. Each staff member goes the extra mile to ensure that residents are stimulated, whether that be reading a book, partaking in a group quiz or socialising with friends. There is also an annual garden party and plenty of evening events for families to join in. Forget Me Not Residential Home regularly invites the Brownies and children from local Schools such as Our Lady of Peace, Priory School and children from a Montessori nursery to visit the home to partake in activities. Invitations for the local older people are invited to join in sing a longs and activities, most recently from Lent Rise Monday Club.
